3D Taxonomic Graphs
Skyline Plots

Skyline plots are three-dimensional charts that illustrate the relative abundances of different taxonomic OTUs for multiple samples concurrently. A researcher can "walk" along the various OTUs and see how they differ between samples and within a sample.

To create a skyline plot of your data, you first need to export your sequence data from our database. Import the data into Excel. You can create a skyline plot of any of the three exported sets. The example graphic below was created using the "TaxByTag" data. Then select the Excel cells containing the Datasets of interest for your project, and create a 3D Column chart.
